Moon Sisters, April is just days away and with it comes a full moon to celebrate the arrival of spring.
Our ancestors celebrated spring with great gratitude - surviving the hard winter was more than just making it through the cold days and scrapping snow off your car. It was about true survival and not knowing how you and your loved ones might fair through those hard months of famine and hardship. When the spring begins to thaw the snow (and our chilled bones) - what could be more joyful and meaningful that to celebrate life, rebirth and growth?
Of course, in these modern times, there are small blessings that come with spring that I hold dearly (such as longer days of light that make for much better photography for the weary blogger!) And of course, spring cleaning, new planting, and trading the woolens for linens.
The beginning of spring is often ripe with big plans. We dream, imagine and envision our lives as the sun floods our days. And the season is perfect for it - now is the time to plant your seeds and spend the following moons tending and watching them grow.
Small plans, big plans, plans to have no plans.
Whatever your heart needs and desires is the plan to put in place.
So, sisters, what are those needs and desires of the heart you are now holding? When will you plant them and how will you tend to them?
All love, Aja
