Its been a few weeks since I shared a gratitude list here on the blog and I've missed it. I write gratitude lists in my journal regularly, but sharing here connects me to others in a way that feels so good. I can't remember where I heard or read it, perhaps it was on the Moon Woman Rising facebook page (for which not a day goes by that I am not grateful for that community) but someone said that the feeling of gratitude has one of the highest vibrations. I completely agree.
Right now, I am grateful for...
:: a weekend on the herb farm learning, sleeping under the stars, and checking in with myself, all in the company of amazing community.
:: taking a walk through the woods and smelling the undeniable smell of concord grapes and then finding the vine with its deep purple bunches of goodness just waiting for me to munch on. My love for concord grapes is deep and I count the days until they are in season. To find them just out in nature was an unbelievable treat.
:: feeling the little babe in my belly squirm, flip, kick and dance in new and vigorous ways. Someone off-handedly said to me that all the activity means my labor will be early, as if the baby wants out, but I disagree. I think all the dancing means this little being is expressing happiness and delight within the womb!
:: pure coconut milk. Its so rich and creamy, it tastes luxurious and is full of good fats.
:: finding out our sweet but grumpy aging pup is in good health after needing a big surgery to have a few lumps removed. The growths were biopsied and we found out they weren't serious. This was a few weeks ago actually and I think we were waiting with such bated breath that after the good news, it took me awhile to breath easily about it again.
:: feeling as though I have never been more clear on where I am headed and what my purpose is and yet not having specific answers or goals. Its a combination of living peacefully in the mystery and letting the soul lead. And I like it.
:: feeling the positive affects of sticking with a self-care practice in my life. I can see and feel the results in totally expansive ways.
:: neroli essential oil in jojoba oil as my perfect, most simple perfume. It smells like pure joy to me.
:: playing a really fun game with my fellow herbalists where we held hands and each thought of an animal, color and flower that represented us. Then we each tried to guess each others representations. We were more often wrong than right, but it was so fun to hear what people guessed for each other. It has never even occured to me that a red panda could be my animal spirit!
:: yoga in this pregnant body. Oh my, does it ever feel good.
I hope you too have the opportunity to connect with the blessings in your life. I count my blessings with Taryn of Wooly Moss Roots, whose gratitude is contagious. Here's to a new week of gratitude for us all.
