New Moons energy are ripe with the opportunity to really release, let go and embody emptiness.
Here is a simple breathing meditation to honor the New Moon and honor where you are, no matter what you are dealing with, to let it be, let it go and let what you need in.
Find a comfortable place to sit or lie down.
Rest your hands on your belly (your center of intuition, courage and deep knowing)
Close the eyes and relax the face.
Take a deep inhale from the belly and count 1, 2, 3, 4.
Pause for a moment and then exhale on the count of 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10.
Continue with this breath and count.
As you do, let each inhale be a practice in sitting with what is.
Let each exhale, which is purposely longer than the inhale, to release all that does not serve you.
So many of us just take in more and more and more, to a bursting or breaking point.
The longer exhale creates space to release and let go.
Continue with this breathing for several minutes or as long as needed.
The New Moon is a wonderful time to sit with what is and also empty what we don't need. As the moon begins to wax again, we start to make our plans, form our goals and take in more as we move towards the Full Moon. The New Moon moment is the bottom of the exhale, the center of the ripple in the pond
